Cutweft privacy policy

Data used

Cutweft stores Shopify variant references, rolls, lengths, dye lots, physical movements and preparations. Imported orders include the identifiers, references, items and quantities needed for preparation. The app does not request buyers’ names, addresses, phone numbers or profiles.

Shopify authentication sessions contain access tokens and, when Shopify provides them, technical information about the signed-in administrator. This data stays on the server and authorises access to the store. It is never included in merchant exports.

Use and access

Data is used to manage rolls and cuts, check subscription access and respond to Shopify privacy requests. Cut planning uses no AI service. Shopify requests use official interfaces. Authenticated sessions can access only their own store’s data. Data is not sold or used for advertising.

Shopify receives requests needed for authentication, reading products and orders, and subscription management. The operator’s server hosts the physical ledger. Cutweft does not send preparations to an AI service.

Retention and deletion

Working data is retained while the app is installed. Uninstalling revokes local sessions. On receipt of an authenticated Shopify shop/redact notification, Cutweft deletes the store’s data. A customers/redact notification removes the affected preparations and order references. Still-reserved length remains held on the roll without an order reference until the merchant checks it physically; already cut lengths remain consumed in the physical ledger.

Minimal erasure records remain while the service operates: store domain, erasure date and cryptographic digests of erased references and processed notifications. These pseudonymous records prevent replayed events or old sessions from recreating erased data. They contain no customer profile or order content.

Prepared access-request responses expire after 30 days and are removed by server maintenance. A backup restore must reapply erasures received since the snapshot before reopening the service.

Your rights and support

You can export inventory and preparations from the app. Shopify requests are handled through mandatory privacy notifications. Merchants can download a prepared response from Help and deliver it to the requester through their usual process. For a request concerning your data, contact the operator below.
